Privacy Policy
INCA X LIMITED ("INCAX", "we", "us") makes the NX-V and NX-V PRO apps for iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple TV and Windows, and runs incax.com. This policy explains what happens to your information when you use them.
The short version
- Your camera pictures, recordings and logins stay on your devices and, if you choose, in your own iCloud. IncaX never stores them.
- We have no accounts, no advertising and no tracking of what you do in the apps.
- We receive information only when you choose to send it to us, for example through Contact support.
What stays on your device
NX-V connects directly from your device to your cameras and recorders, over your own network or the internet address you enter. Video does not pass through our servers, except when you use the Share over the internet feature (see below).
- Camera logins. On iPhone, iPad and Mac, usernames and passwords are saved in your device's Keychain. On Windows, they are stored only on your PC, in the app's private data folder. They are never sent to IncaX.
- Cameras, groups, map places, settings and thumbnails are kept in the app's storage on your device.
- Recordings and motion pictures are saved on your device, or in the folder you choose on a Mac.
- Motion detection and people detection run on your device. Pictures are compared and analysed there and are not sent anywhere.
- Finding cameras. The apps search your local network for cameras. Your device will ask for Local Network permission the first time.
iCloud (optional)
If you switch on iCloud sync, NX-V stores your cameras, groups, settings and recordings in your private iCloud storage, under your Apple ID, so your other devices and the other NX-V apps can see them. This data is held by Apple, not by us, and we cannot see or open it. Older versions of NX-V kept camera logins in the app's private data on your device, and if iCloud sync was switched on in those versions, the logins were also stored in your own private iCloud database. IncaX never stores your camera logins. Turn sync off in Settings at any time; you can also delete your recordings from iCloud inside the app. Apple's own privacy policy applies to iCloud.
Sharing over the internet (optional)
If you use the Share over the internet feature, your camera streams pass through a relay on an IncaX server so that they can reach other devices. The relay only passes the data on. Nothing is recorded or stored on the server.
What we receive, and only when you send it
Contact support. If you use Contact support in the app, we receive a message containing your comments, your email address if you type one, and diagnostic information to help us fix the problem: the app and system version, the app's log files, its camera and group settings (with any login inside a stream address removed and passwords blanked), and the camera's technical replies to the app, which show what the camera supports. We use this only to answer you and fix problems. It arrives by email and nothing is sent until you press Send.
Email. If you write to us by email, we keep your message and address to reply, for as long as needed to help you and then delete them in the ordinary course of housekeeping.
Website. We do not use cookies, analytics or any third-party tracking on incax.com.
Apple and Microsoft. The App Store, TestFlight and Microsoft Store may give us anonymous crash reports and download statistics, under their own policies. These do not identify you to us.
Sharing
We do not sell your information and do not share it for advertising. We may disclose information if the law requires it or to protect our rights or users' safety.
Where information is processed
Inca X Limited is based in the United Kingdom. Information you send us is processed in the UK, and may be processed elsewhere by our service providers with appropriate safeguards.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask us to tell you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it, and you can object to how we use it. Use our contact page. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
Security
Logins are held in the system Keychain and connections to cameras use the protection your camera offers. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Cameras and other people
NX-V can record video and sound. You are responsible for using it lawfully, including telling people when they are being recorded where the law requires it.
Children
NX-V is not directed at anyone under 18 and we do not knowingly collect information from children. If you think a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will post the new version here and update the effective date. Changes that matter will also be mentioned in the app's release notes.
